I use iPhoto on my Mac to store store nearly 15,000 photos. Places, faces, family, friends, things, sunsets, mountains, beaches, and more places.
iPhoto has a feature called face recognition. which analyzes each photo, compares each photo to other photos, then, with a few clicks, learns faces and matches those face to other photos with similar faces. With just an exception or two the face recognition feature works very well.
We have twin boys who look remarkably alike and the face recognition feature, in most cases, differentiates one boy from the other. That’s impressive.
My only beef is that when my face is matched with other photos, there’s an older woman, now deceased, who shows up in the list of photos selected to match my face.
Each day has some disappointments. That was mine for today.
